I’m a man / I’m a tree - I'm a female / I'm a Tree

Where does the consciousness of the World begin? I think that this conscience of the world relies on the thought of nature.

I’d like to start with a small nostalgic heartbreaking memory, and it is that every time I see a tree falling I feel how the space in my lounges becomes smaller. I have trouble breathing. I find it hard to breathe as you pass by without realizing I’m here.  I find it hard to breathe that energy of indifference. I find it hard to breathe that selfish stance that keeps you so much within the system.

A tree provides life to keep you in the ecosystem. A tree provides you with breathing, such an indivisible cycle that you are not able to notice unless you become conscious of it. And talking about indivisibilities, without you even noticing, everyday trees are  murdered, and it’s one of the world’s least important murders. That’s why I understand that you cannot digest the death of a tree, because there is not enough oxygen to take to your brain. And yes, I’m taking from the wound, imagine having to talk about your brother’s death, your father’s or your mother’s; to talk from the wound is to talk about feelings, about that feeling that manifests.

Science has already proven that we feel pain. That means we are living beings, haven’t you noticed that? Let my roots grow larger and my branches reach the skies. Let me tell stories, maybe if you don’t, you’ll be telling them with me.

Let me rebuild your lounges.

HOLDING TREES AS A POLITICAL STAND.

Let’s start with a simple action. Hug a tree and tell it what you feel. Apologize to it. A simple action multiplied by millions is a lot. I know it’s not all your fault, but from that who governs and makes you indifferent by hiding things from you, not showing your how atrocious it is to make me into a sustainable economy. At least he’s not piercing you, murdering you and destroying you as he is with the rest of my family. He uses you to keep his position; the only way in which he kills you is when you reveal against what you call system.

For this same reason, and to start with, hugging trees as a political stand is hugging yourself, hugging life. I assume hugging is a rebel act against that thing you call “system”. Hugging is an act of faith towards life, hugging a tree is hugging yourself.

Get over the stuck notion of superiority above nature; that is the real ecological crisis. It’s nothing more than the dissociation in your thought than makes you believe you’re outside the natural order. I like the thought of Dr. Blanca Elisa Cabral, a thought I’ve found in this body and that says “there is no global revolution of nature or society without undermining that way of thought clung to the objectifying-denaturalization-dissociation and exaltation of the reason (rationalism).

It’s only about a questioning of nature. A doubt on the natural related to the way you live. Thought and body are connected, and so, you live-enact the way you think. This is way I am not only a man, I not only think. I am also nature, I’m a tree, I feel everything in my body, that’s why I say it hurts and I find it hard to breathe when trees die all around me. As a man, I assume without losing my roots. I, thus, assume politically, from this thought of mine, the hug as a stand that questions reason above nature.

And as nature, as a tree, I assume life. I ask the Sun and Moon for strength for this beginning, in what I’ve become and what I’ve assumed consciously through a human body, manifesting its natural consciousness.
